A “market” is a place where people exchange commodities that have value. In return for your nonprofit’s valuable services, other people and organizations give you their time, money, and in-kind contributions. To make this possible, your nonprofit must figure out how to make its products and services valuable, demonstrate this value to the community, and create an exchange process through which the community can donate time, money and other valuable resources back to the nonprofit.

It starts with a social brand: the image your organization has earned through its interactions with the community. Your brand is too important to let it happen by accident. We help nonprofits articulate who they are and what sets them apart from others, and communicate this quickly and effectively in a brand image.

The nonprofit marketplace is different because our largest sources of funds are often not the recipients of our services. We must rely on effective marketing messages sent to potential donors and sponsors to explain why our products have value, and thereby to show them why they should contribute to us on behalf of the constituents whom we serve.

The world of fundraising is part art and part science. But success in fundraising depends on strategic choices and disciplined execution, always in service of a mission.
